Scientific research has revealed many nutritional benefits of green tea. One of the most potent antioxidants, EGCG, neutralizes free radicals that help lower risk of cardiovascular disease. American Chemical Societ suggests EGCG may be 100 times more effective at neutralizing free radicals than vitamin C and 25 times more effective than vitamin E.
Other benefits may be reduction in tumor formation in certain cancers, lower blood sugar levels, anti-aging properties, arthritis, strengthening of teeth and bones, fighting viruses and protection against liver toxins.
